East Portland Rotary Foundation
The Foundation is the non-profit charitable arm and a legal 501c3 of the East Portland Rotary Club. Money raised through the Foundation supports many of our club’s service activities, including education and awareness efforts to end juvenile sex trafficking, Rotary Youth Leadership Development programs, college scholarships for local high school students, and the placement of peace poles in our local community. It is also through this Foundation that we support local organizations like Meals on Wheels, our annual Rebuilding Together partnership to repair and refurbishing of home for people in need, a partnership with Boise-Eliot/Humboldt Elementary School, and special events to support children in foster care. The Foundation partners with other Rotary Clubs that support education, sanitation, and polio eradication efforts internationally.
Our Foundation board meets monthly to oversee our local foundation and to determine distribution of funds, through district and global grants and the annual budget requests of our club’s service committees.
